Department of Humanities
The Department of Humanities was established in 2010. The Department of Humanities, in consonance with its mission statement, is committed to promoting an intellectual climate through quality and holistic education for all.Department of Humanities places importance on quality and value when it comes to academics and is committed to providing students with knowledge and skills that are in demand, besides offering opportunities to learn a variety of new concepts and skills.The department offers English Literature, Punjabi Literature, Political Science, Religion, History, Defence Studies, Physical Education, Sociology, Public Administration,Economics,Mathematics,English, Punjabi , Computer Applications and music.
This will also help students to pursue their master's and doctorate on similar lines if they are academically inclined.
Subject Combinations for B.A.-I,II & III
Compulsory Subjects :
English (Communication Skills)
Punjabi Compulsory or Punjabi Elementary Knowledge
Program Outcomes:
PO1 : the individual must demonstrate maturity, professionalism and team working skills.
PO2 : the students will have general idea of operations in business.
PO3 : the individual will have specialized skills to deal with area specifific issues of concern.
PO4 : the individual will be able to apply technological knowhow for business advancements.
PO5 : the individual will be capable of analyzing, investigating and solving critical business issues.
Optional Subjects :
A student can take up the combination of required three elective subjects, by taking one subject from each of the following groups of elective subjects:
Group - A : Economics / Religion
Group - B : History / Mathematics
Group - C : Political Science
Group - D : Punjabi Literature / english Literature
Group - E : Physical Education/ Public Administration/ Computer Applications
Psychology, Defense Studies, Sociology & Music.
